The internet was created to make lives easier forus as a whole. We have the privilege to research topics at a faster rate, keep in touch with friends and family by email and networking, and we can even shop online withour having to go to the stores. Somewhere along the line people have taken a turn to use the internet for evil. Today most people, especially teens, use the computer bulllying and humiliation. As a result suicides are being committed because they can't take the public humiliation.
A Rutgers freshman has committed suicide due to internet bullying. The fact that he was also gay played a part in the reason why students decided to humiliate him. he was video taped while making out with another guy and those students who taped him decided to post it on the internet. They probably did not expect him to kill himself, but that should not have done what they did. He was in the privacy if his own room, and they were heartless enough to tape it and post it for viewers to see.
